 Stretching, spiraling & strengthening are some of the words our clients use to describe the benefits of this class that feels like a spiraling yoga class. GYROKINESIS exercises allow you to work on the entire body by moving through seven natural elements of spinal movement: forward, backward, left side, right side, right twist, left twist, and circular movement while also addressing all other joint artiuclations. This approach systematically and gently works the joints and muscles through rhythmic and undulating movement, stimulating all the rhythmic systems in the body (for ex. circulatory, lymphatic, respirtory). This class moves fluidly from start to finish and includes all the wonderful abdominal work you love in GYROTONIC®. This is not an appropriate class for clients with therapeutic needs. no previous experience needed.

HISTORY OF GYROTONIC® 
 
Julio Horvath was born in Romania in 1942 and arrived in the U.S. in 1970 as a professional dancer.
After his dancing career ended early with an injury, he combined his knowledge of dance, yoga, swimming, and tai chi to create “Yoga for Dancers”, or better known as GYROKINESIS®. He eventually built a machine that became the basis for the GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM®.
 
Dancers, athletes, and people with chronic conditions worldwide now flock to GYROTONIC® for its fitness and rehabilitative benefits.
 
Julio continues to develop and perfect both the method and the equipment.
